The future of 3D production.
THE BEGINNING OF THE FUTURE
Reliefed Technologies is a Research and Development company bringing value to our customers by extensive know-how and Intellectual Property Right based on the 3D-iExtrusion® Technology.
3D-iExtrusion® was invented by Reliefed Technologies founder and CTO, Mark Jansson Kragh, who got the idea when he was out on a walk. In the mud he noticed some perfectly shaped tracks made by forestry machinery that got him thinking… Since then, the multi-award winning 3D-iExtrusion® technology has been an enabler for the development, production and export of successful products worldwide.
Reliefed Technologies continuously invests in Research and Development as well as Intellectual Property. We now hold a number of granted patents and have filed patent applications covering the 3D-iExtrusion® production technology, as well as end use/applications and product by process. This gives our customers, suppliers and partners freedom to operate and secures their investments.
3D-iExtrusion® is a further development of conventional extrusion technology. By the usage of integrated rotating die(s) in the pressurized zone of the extrusion tool, an indent or ”footprint” is created on the extruded profile. The technology thereby allows the creation of reliefs that were impossible to previously achieve. The shape is formed at high temperatures, resulting in significantly better outcomes than those made by conventional embossing techniques.
The genius of the technology is that any material possible to extrude with conventional extrusion technique, such as plastic, rubber, aluminum etc., can be 3D-iExtruded. The technology is compatible with any existing extrusion line. A specially made tool, with rotating die(s), is the only ”add-on”.
